About Us
Taply.Cards was born on a dealership lot in Centerville, Ohio.
I'm Rufus Wilson Jr., and I sell cars at Bob Ross Buick GMC. Every day I meet people, shake hands, and hand over a paper business card — and every day I watched those cards disappear into pockets, cupholders, and trash cans. I'd do everything right in a conversation, build real trust, and then hand someone the one thing almost guaranteed to get tossed before they got home.
I knew there had to be a better way to stay in someone's phone instead of their garbage can. So I built one.
Taply.Cards started as a single NFC card programmed to open my own digital profile — my photo, my number, a button to text me, a link to schedule, and a path straight to leave a review. The first time I handed it to a customer and they tapped it to their phone, they literally stopped mid-sentence. "Wait — what is this?" That pause was the moment I realized this wasn't just a cooler business card. It was a better first impression, every single time.
What began as a tool for my own sales quickly became something other professionals wanted too — realtors, stylists, restaurant owners, fellow salespeople. People who live and die by referrals and repeat business, just like me. So I turned it into Taply.Cards: premium, matte-black NFC cards paired with custom digital profiles, built by hand and tested one at a time.
Today, Taply.Cards helps individuals and whole teams replace forgettable paper with a tap that actually lands. No apps to download. No reprinting when your number changes. Just one tap, your full profile, and a moment people remember.
Every card we make still carries the same belief I had on that lot: your first impression is too important to leave on the table.
